figure week.

The only two poses from SOCA I really cared for. The last one my friends said we should all draw her as a cool demon chick so I did. Despite not being on the ball that session it was lots of fun.

From the session today at Dr. Sketchy's RVA. Our first male model (Parker Galore). He was lots of fun to draw. Did some great poses, and had some awesome costumes. This page was just 5min a piece, and I was working more on just loosening up rather than being dead accurate.

My brush pen ran out of ink so I had to move over to using a brown micron for the rest of the session. Gladiator gear!

The second pace was a Pan costume. I took the mask and made it his actual face. We had to draw him with some other mythical creature in a setting.

Same thing with making the mask his actual face. The unicorn was actually a hobby horse. I BSed what little horse anatomy I knew to make it a real unicorn. :P

Nerd glory

I just bought my first real set of dice to play D&D with, so glamor shots had to happen. I have a nice DSLR now with a lovely macro lens that I love to use. Gotta love that shallow depth of field!

doodles

A really silly cat doodle. It has your nose. :D

trying out a new style for when I want to make simple fun cartoons. My paladin I play on WoW because she's adorable.

Playing with my under used brush pen. I'd love to use this kind of line quality on a finished piece. But whenever I try to ink a sketch, I tense up and lose it. Something to work toward. Just some gesture sketches to do something simple and loose and and eye and mouth/nose. No refs.

Gashkii

A quick bust of my Tauren Death Knight in WoW. :B Wanted to draw an undead cow, and work on making things look like they're glowing. Her nose bone isn't technically accurate to a cow skull, but I thought it looked better ending there than further back.

Ok, back to slightly more serious work.

Done 100% in photoshop.

Penny Get Your Gun

Went to another Dr. Sketchy's session, this one was a western theme. The costumes, especially the second one, were a lot of fun to draw, and definitely not something I get to do from life often. Model was the lovely Pretty Penny, one of our local burlesque dancers.

Customized bag

A custom paint job on a bag a friend commissioned me to do. Camera did a terrible job showing off the gradient from the black to blue. :/ Looks tons better in real life. Got to try my hand at stencils again. Lots of work for such simple little designs.

Egg Clock

A bit of a speed painting done while chatting with people online. About 45 minutes. The focus was my little egg clock on my desk, so not much else got the same amount of rendering care. The time on the clock is when I started.

Dr. Sketchys

Dr. Sketchy's session today from 5-about 8. Got a lot of sketches in, and remembered that I should be doing figure drawings more often! x_x Model is Jendetta. Poses range anywhere from 5-20 minutes.

ATCs

I'm doing some ATC trades with people, and here's three I've gotten done. I have two more to go. These are on bristol cards that are 2.5x3.5 inches so they're fairly small. I use copic marker to do them (and white ink). They're a fun little challenge to see what I can feasibly fit on such a small size and still make look good.

Alencia, Fran Rowan's character for her comic in progress. Her blog: http://clockworkqueen.blogspot.com/

Ben, Tiffany's 1890's western character.

Despair, Jaime Thompson's character.

All characters belong to their respective owners.

Such a nerd, jeeze

Quick doodle just to get the idea down and out of my head. Another Star Wars character because I'm a hopeless nerd. She's a bounty hunter. :B I think playing Knights of the Old Republic and sitting here waiting for The Old Republic MMO to come out has me a bit hyped on SW in general right now. God, the number of wookiepedia entries I've read in the past few days....

100% in Photoshop CS3.
