Customized bag

A custom paint job on a bag a friend commissioned me to do. Camera did a terrible job showing off the gradient from the black to blue. :/ Looks tons better in real life. Got to try my hand at stencils again. Lots of work for such simple little designs.

Egg Clock

A bit of a speed painting done while chatting with people online. About 45 minutes. The focus was my little egg clock on my desk, so not much else got the same amount of rendering care. The time on the clock is when I started.

Dr. Sketchys

Dr. Sketchy's session today from 5-about 8. Got a lot of sketches in, and remembered that I should be doing figure drawings more often! x_x Model is Jendetta. Poses range anywhere from 5-20 minutes.

 

 

 

 

ATCs

I'm doing some ATC trades with people, and here's three I've gotten done. I have two more to go. These are on bristol cards that are 2.5x3.5 inches so they're fairly small. I use copic marker to do them (and white ink). They're a fun little challenge to see what I can feasibly fit on such a small size and still make look good.

Such a nerd, jeeze

Quick doodle just to get the idea down and out of my head. Another Star Wars character because I'm a hopeless nerd. She's a bounty hunter. :B I think playing Knights of the Old Republic and sitting here waiting for The Old Republic MMO to come out has me a bit hyped on SW in general right now. God, the number of wookiepedia entries I've read in the past few days....

Vacation doodles

Life drawings done while on vacation in Upstate NY. The left is my second cousin's rocking horse, who was missing an ear, and the right is a clover flower. I didn't know what to do at the bottom, so the hands were a second thought, resulting in some not so good composition.

I've got a bit of a hand motif going on lately. Trying to get more confident with drawing them. The hand on the left is mine, and the monster is more just filler. The right is a combination of two photos I took at Holywood Cemetery.

Digital Drawing Portfolio

For digital drawing our final was to make a DVD portfolio. The portfolio was supposed to represent our body of work, so naturally, that meant monsters for me. Everything here was hand made by me, all the monsters cut out by hand, I made the envelope, everything. the circle bit on the inside is supposed to have all my contact info, but I blurred out my address and phone number since this is going on the internet.

Glass plaque mold

This was my first asignment in my kiln casting class. Make a glass plaque mold. It could be of whatever we wanted, so long as it was a plaque. Naturally, this turned into another excuse to make a monster. This was my first time working in clay (to make the plaster mold) in ages, and a lot of fun.

Glass Gun redux

Here's better shots of my botched glass gun. We're almost certain what happened was the mold was just simply too long, and the glass didn't stay at temperature for long enough, and it just didn't fill all the way. An interesting fluke to be sure.
